Reproductive Treatments

Types of Reproductive Treatments

From treating conditions that affect fertility to alleviating pain, or managing other gynaecological problems, Dr Ritu Rana can assist you through it all. Some of the common types of reproductive surgery for females include:

Laparoscopy

A minimally invasive surgery used to diagnose and treat conditions like endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and pelvic adhesions. It can also be used for tubal ligation reversal.

Hysteroscopy

This involves inserting a thin, lighted tube through the vagina and cervix into the uterus to diagnose and treat uterine conditions such as fibroids, polyps, adhesions, and septums.

Myomectomy

The surgical removal of uterine fibroids (myomas) while leaving the uterus intact. This is often chosen by women who wish to maintain fertility.

Endometrial Ablation

A procedure to treat abnormal uterine bleeding. It involves removing or destroying the lining of the uterus (endometrium).

Ovarian Cystectomy

Surgical removal of cysts from the ovary.

Cervical Cerclage

Placement of stitches in the cervix to prevent premature opening during pregnancy.

Salpingectomy/ Oophorectomy

Removal of the fallopian tubes (salpingectomy) and/or ovaries (oophorectomy), often done in cases of severe disease or as a preventive measure for those at high risk of ovarian cancer.
